Terms of Service/Policies and Procedures
Eco Custom Cleaning provides high quality “green” cleaning products and supplies. Safe for people and pets! We prefer, however, to use our clients’ vacuum for hygienic reasons; avoiding the spread of allergens between households. (Vacuum provided for move in/out or construction clean)
Cloths, pads, and dusters are fresh and clean. If you would like to use a cleaning product other than what we use, it must be non-toxic surface appropriate and reviewed prior to cleaning day.
Green Clean Service... We are a “green” cleaning service and do not use products that are bleach based or toxic to inhale for general maintenance cleaning.
Service Rates/Rate Changes/House Prep
Rates are based on type of cleaning we are doing at your home along with frequency.
Service rates can range from first time general cleaning, maintenance cleaning, yearly deep cleaning, special projects, organizing and so forth. To get the most benefit for time allotted in the home, it is important to have uninterrupted access to the rooms of your home that will be cleaned. If subject to distractions the ability to perform tasks will be affected.
General Cleaning/Prepping We ask that items are off the floor in areas you would like vacuumed or mopped. Dishes in sink, and other items that would hinder cleaning before arrival.
Pre-cleaning/prepping is available as an add-on service.
Rate Changes: We reserve the right to re-evaluate the rates at any time to allow for business-related costs such as cleaning products, gas, and travel time; or if the condition of the home has changed. You will be notified of any rate changes 14 days in advance.
Checklist items: You can customize your checklist at any time; this may increase the cost of cleaning depending on the cleaning task requested.
Advanced notice prior to cleaning day is needed for add-ons or check list customization.
General Cleaning Frequency Discount: Offered for regular scheduled weekly or bi-weekly cleaning. Monthly or one- time service or customized cleaning will be prices accordingly. If the frequency of service changes pricing will be re-evaluated at that time; you can change frequency at any time. Service is based on blocks of time. (2 hour minimum) Determined by availability, scope of job or client budget.

Eco Custom Cleaning is not responsible for unlocked homes when not cleaning.
Confirmation/Scheduling
Cleaning or organizing appointments are confirmed the day prior to appointment; via text or e-mail.
Appointments are scheduled either am or pm, with a 30 minute “window” for arrival.
Cancellations/Schedule Change
Please...please let me know ASAP for any cancellation or schedule change so we can fill in your time slot.
48 hours advanced notice is requested! Emergency last minute cancellations are totally understandable, life happens; sick kids, weather events, etc. Cancellations without 48 hour advanced notice could result in losing the reserved time, frequency discount or 50% of rate cancellation fee charge.
Work Quality/Guarantee:
Please notify me within 24 hours of your cleaning if something was missed that was included on the checklist. Work preformed is based on the type of cleaning we are doing at the home along with the checklist from walk-thru notes.
IMPORTANT/Exclusions for general cleaning unless agreed upon for yearly cleaning type/organizing/housekeeping/pre-cleaning: NOTE: Bathrooms and kitchen surfaces that may have wear and tear or excessive build-up of dirt/stains/mold/mildew will not be restored to original condition and may require several cleanings. Or require a restorative treatment. Some hard water buildup may come off with regular cleaning. Cluttered areas would prevent dusting/cleaning surfaces.
Conduct: I will care for your home, personal space and business with the utmost respect. I’m also a non smoker; in addition I will not come into your space with perfume or heavy fragrance. I use indoor shoes only.
If you have pets...wonderful! They will also be treated with respect, love and kindness!
Exclusions/Liability/Special Projects/Pre-Cleaning/Organizing
Sometimes breakage occurs when there are "booby traps". Those are accidents waiting to happen. We are often handling things that are not normally touched (pictures not hung securely, top heavy items with unstable bases, wobbly, tippy objects, or fragile glass on shelves. Items on mantels not secured down. We cannot take responsibility for "booby traps". Please remove unstable breakables to a place we do not clean.
Items we do not clean. (unless specified for organizing, pre-cleaning or special cleaning project) Items not secured down, inside curio/china cabinets, wet bars, wine glass displays, inside open dish or pot /pan carts/collectables/figurines. Light fixtures, chandeliers. Fragile or thin material lampshades. Tippy items, overly cluttered counters tops/ledges, etc, moving furniture. Use of toxic oven cleaners or other toxic products (unless specified, minimal use, special projects) Taking apart appliances to clean.
Heavily cluttered areas could require organizing or de-cluttering prior to cleaning either as an add-on service to can be done by the client.
Note: please do not place valuable jewelry on a counter top on cleaning day.
Housekeeping: Is not included in general cleaning or yearly cleaning, unless specified. At this time Eco Custom Cleaning does not offer housekeeping services. Services considered housekeeping would be washing dishes, changing sheets, making the bed, errands, taking out the trash and laundry. Exceptions are made in some cases with advanced notice.
Health and Safety: Due to health and safety reasons, Eco Custom Cleaning is unable to clean up mold, human, flea, rodent, or pet waste/litter/ fluids. An alternate company that is equipped can be recommended. Ladders 2-steps or less are used if needed. We do use extension poles for higher areas. Indoor soft sole shoes that are not worn outside are used when inside the home, street shoes are not worn inside the home. If products considered “toxic” are needed for add-ons protective wear such as, protective eyewear, mask, skin cover will be used. Toxic products are not used in general maintenance cleaning.
If applicable for add-on services and deep cleaning.
To ensure the best quality of service, best rates, and safety we use our own cleaning products, sponges, mop/pads, and cleaning system. All products are safe and effective to use and will not damage surfaces. Our products, tools and cleaning technique used will not cause damage to hard surfaces, textiles, or rugs.
Due to liability, we cannot accommodate a request to use an alternative cleaning method that may not be considered safe to use or effective on various surfaces.
Organizing/De-cluttering/Pre-Cleaning: Full service organizing, de-cluttering and pre-cleaning options are available. At times a home will need one of the above prior to any type of cleaning. Heavily cluttered areas could require organizing or de-cluttering prior to cleaning either as an add-on service or can be done by the client. Scope of organizing projects will be determined at time of walk through. Organizing exclusions; lifting or moving heavy items, dump run drop offs. (3rd party service can be contracted for debris removal)
Special Projects: Please let me know if you have a special project that is out of the scope of general cleaning.
Bathroom Surface Disclaimer: Shower/tubs/glass doors that have stains, light mold, or mineral soap deposit build-up will be cleaned and sanitized. General maintenance cleaning may not remove the stains or change the appearance. With regular cleaning appearance may improve over time.
Or the surface may need a “restoration deep clean” available as an add-on; if applicable.
Stone/grout/tile shower stall surfaces are wiped down using a gentle non-toxic PH balanced cleaning solution we provide for general maintenance cleaning. Spot brush scrubbing areas if needed.
Use of any specialty treatment product to clean/scrub grout/stone/tile shower stall is offered as an add-on service.
Product supplied by homeowner after review. Scheduled on an alternate day. Ask for details!
Add-on rates apply and if within the scope of Eco Custom Cleaning services offered.
If there is excessive mold or stains in tile grout, we suggest having the grout professionally re-grouted and sealed.
Move In-Move Out/Construction Clean-Up: Work based on client needs; to be determined at time of walk-thru.
